Estate planning is one of the most intimate areas of the practice of law. Our clients share with us their most closely held issues and fears, involving family relationships, their wealth and their values. Together, we create a plan to meet these individual needs and adapt as circumstances change. We place tremendous value on these closed-door meetings and encourage regular follow-up contacts with our clients.
Any estate plan must be flexible, since no one can predict what the law might be when a will is probated or when a trust begins operation (especially now), nor can we anticipate with certainty what a family’s financial or personal circumstances will be at that time. We pride ourselves on planning that allows decisions to be made in the light of future circumstances.
Our approach to business, real estate, tax and other matters that we handle for our clients is similar. Fully understanding a client’s needs and goals is the key to designing the means to achieve these goals. This is followed by scrupulous execution of the strategy by our lawyers and colleagues, while maintaining the flexibility to react to future circumstances.
